IDA - Services have been set for Maria Elena Shilliday, 62, of Ida, who died at 7:10 p.m. Monday in her home. She had been in poor health for two years and seriously ill for two months.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bacarella Funeral Home, 1201 S. Telegraph Rd., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Wayne Hawley, pastor of Ida United Methodist Church, will officiate. Cremation will take place.
Born Nov. 23, 1941, in Toledo, she was the daughter of Stan and Jane (Ash) Knowles. She married Hugh H. Shilliday Aug. 26, 1961, in Toledo.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Brad Hugh (Amy) of Tampa, Fla., and Chad Ivan of Ida; a daughter, Kara Elena (Robert) Schrader of Williamston; her mother, Jane Knowles of Toledo; a brother, Stanton Kirk (Marilyn) of Kalida, Ohio; two sisters, Sharon Jane Schrag of Defiance, Ohio, and Sandra Jean (Ralph) Davis of Delta, Colo., and four grandchildren.
